Craft Worldwide-Boston, Framingham, MA 7/2016 – present
Senior Graphic Designer 7/2016 – present
In July of 2016, the agency department within Staples was acquired by Craft Worldwide as their new Boston-area office. As Senior Designer in this new office, I continue my previous roll held at Staples: supporting the Staples Brand Group marketing team with on-brand marketing materials and product packaging. Additional tasks and activities include art-direction of junior staff on a daily basis, assistance in budget-development for projects, planning of in-house photography shoots and direction of off-shore Craft production teams.

Staples, Framingham, MA
Lead Graphic Designer 12/2011 – 7/2016
Currently I am a lead graphic designer within Staples’ internal agency. I support design and marketing initiatives within the Staples Brands Group, specifically all packaging initiatives. Additionally, I regularly assist with managing/art directing the work of junior/mid-level contract designers on our team, on a project-by-project basis.

Catapult Thinking LLC, Boston, MA
Senior Designer 5/2006 – 11/2011
At Catapult I worked on a wide variety of strategy-led design projects for clients in the industrial safety, music, and pet industries. Working on a three-person design team allowed me the opportunity to be directly involved from project kick-off to delivery. I played an integral role in project brainstorming and concepting, participated often in brand strategy phases of projects, along with  simultaneously balancing concept execution and production art tasks. I was also delegated the client-management roll on various projects during periods of staffing cut-backs. These experiences vastly expanded my client communication, workflow scheduling and project management skills.

Additionally, I was able to increase my knowledge of user-centered research through collaboration with the research team and involvement in their research process on different levels (i.e. assisting in user interviews and preparation of research documentation).

Clients include: Ansell, Halo Purely for Pets, Sperian Protection, KORG USA, Vox Amplification, and Harman International
Projects include:

Layout Artist 6/2003 – 5/2006
At Arnold I worked primarily on the Celebrity Cruises account as a layout artist on their travel brochures. I assisted the design team in executing their design concepts while maintaining quality production art files required by the Mechanical Art and Print Production teams. I assisted the design team executing their concepts, through extensive image sourcing and image management, file building from design templates, and management of legal content and general copy edits.

I was also actively involved in the output and creation of 2D and 3D mock-ups and presentation materials for new business pitches and client presentations.
